Making the Most of Your Money as an Apprentice
As an apprentice, it is important to make the most of your money in order to save for the future!
These tips can help you save in the short and long term, ensuring success and keeping all your saved money for the things you enjoy!
You can often buy the same product from different places at different prices, and in some cases very different prices. To ensure you are getting a good deal, it can pay to shop around. While you could walk up and down the High Street looking in each shop, the internet provides some simple solutions to comparing prices:
- Using price comparison websites. These have been developed specifically to compare the prices of goods from a range of suppliers and retailers. You enter what you are looking for and they will provide you with a range of options. Also, be aware that different comparison websites will often show different prices for the same product, so make sure to compare comparison websites too!
- Explore online before hitting the High Street. Comparing a few stores online before heading to the shops will save you from achy feet and it is a good way of comparing a range of shops to see which has the best price. You might also spot exclusive online deals and offers too.
- Information and review sites can be really useful. They can help you understand the product you are interested in to make sure it meets your needs. Review sites can be very helpful in seeing the opinions of others on the product you are interested in. This could help you identify any issues with quality or value for money. Remember, just because a product is more expensive, it doesn’t mean it is better quality.
- Renegotiate renewals and other contracts. Never renew a mobile phone contract at the same price straightaway, as it is always worth checking on a comparison site to see if you can get a deal cheaper elsewhere. This is the same for TV, broadband, utilities and insurance – always make sure you are getting the best contract terms for your needs.
